Literature Comprehension
and Analysis
Class runs from Sept 2023 - April 2024
The purpose of this literature comprehension and analysis class is to help students develop critical reading skills and become well-rounded writers by encouraging them to examine literary works in depth. In the first half of the course, we will be focusing on the study of basic literary devices to help develop critical reading skills and achieve a deeper understanding of literature. In the second half of the course, we will be reading three selected books that provide a foundation for literary analysis using the tools learned in the earlier part of the course. By the end of the course, students will be able to not only understand literature on a deeper level but also use their newfound knowledge to improve their own writing and effectively communicate their ideas.
This Course may be considered 1 English Literature high school credit.
